The following statement is from Walter B. McCormick Jr., President and CEO of USTelecom:
“With his nomination of Meredith Atwell Baker as the final member of the FCC, President Obama has completed one important step toward accelerating broadband advances across our nation and unleashing the full power and potential of broadband. Baker brings more than a decade of public and private sector experience to her role as an FCC Commissioner, including her most recent service at NTIA. We look forward to working with the President and the full FCC to promote the robust private-sector broadband investment that will deliver broadband-driven opportunities to all Americans—from jobs and economic growth to better health care and education and green technologies.
