Top Broadband Execs Convening in Silicon Valley
Windstream CEO Jeff Gardner to Keynote Annual Summit
Washington, DC -- Top executives from the nation’s broadband industry are set to convene next week, Oct. 1 - 3, in Silicon Valley for USTelecom’s Executive Business Forum. Windstream President and CEO Jeff Gardner will keynote the three-day event, which will focus this year on the theme of “Disruptive Technologies, Demanding Consumers and Your Broadband Future.”
"USTelecom has created a unique forum where industry executives and their technology partners can come together and talk about the broadband future and how we make its promise real for our customers," said Gardner. In addition to Gardner, other headliners include Verizon’s Link Hoewing, Vice President-Internet and Technology Policy, and AT&T’s Chris Boyer, Assistant Vice President – Internet & Technology Policy. The summit also features technology companies that are key partners to the broadband industry, including Alcatel-Lucent, Juniper Networks, Tellabs and others. Topics range from 4G wireless broadband to IPTV deployment to meeting evolving consumer demands. Rounding out the event on Friday will be a conversation on the M&A landscape with Frank Gallagher, Jr., Managing Director of Stifel Nicolaus, featuring SureWest Communications’ L. Scott Sommers, Senior Vice President, Finance and Corporate Development.
