David Cohen  Vice President, Policy 

The policy department is a central component of USTelecom's sharp focus on issues-oriented advocacy. Cohen, a USTelecom veteran, oversees this vital department and serves as the primary architect of a unifying policy agenda for the trade association on major issues, such as network security, telecom deregulation, taxes, labor and the environment.

Cohen possesses extensive industry experience and deep USTelecom roots. Cohen first joined the association in 1986 and most recently served as Vice President, Small Company Affairs. Prior to joining USTelecom, Cohen served for eight years at the Rural Utilities Service. He holds a B.A. in Economics and a J.D. degree from the University of Maryland and is a member of several state and federal bars.
