Jeremy Pederson Joins USTelecom’s Government Affairs Team

WASHINGTON, D.C. – USTelecom CEO Jonathan Spalter announced today that Jeremy Pederson has joined the association as a Vice President of Government Affairs.

Pederson comes to USTelecom from Frontier Communications, where he was a Senior Manager of Federal Legislative Affairs. Prior to joining Frontier, he served as legislative counsel to Rep. Gus Bilirakis (R-FL), a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s Communications and Technology Subcommittee. While studying at the George Washington University Law School, he served as a summer law clerk to then-Federal Communications Commission Commissioner Ajit Pai. Pederson received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Florida.

At a time of unprecedented opportunity to make real progress in Congress for hundreds of millions of America’s broadband consumers, the innovative companies of USTelecom and I are lucky and thrilled to welcome Jeremy to our team. He brings a trifecta of policy experience to our work: in the private sector as an able advocate for USTelecom member Frontier Communications, in the legislative branch as a policy advisor to Congressman Bilirakis, and at the FCC as a legal fellow to then Commissioner and now Chairman Ajit Pai. I know he will make a real difference for USTelecom members and for the cause of expanding broadband opportunities for all in our nation, Spalter said.
