Tax Reform Legislation to Spur Broadband Investment

12.19.2017

Background: The House of Representatives today approved legislation to overhaul the U.S. tax code, lowering taxes for the middle class and decreasing the corporate tax rate to 21 percent. The Senate is also expected to soon to pass this legislation.

The following statement is attributed to USTelecom CEO Jonathan Spalter:

“Permanently lowering the corporate tax rate will allow the nation’s broadband providers to ramp-up investments in connecting communities, upgrading networks, and competing globally.”
