Shentel and Windstream CEOs Join USTelecom Board

[Washington, DC] – USTelecom announced today the appointment of two new members to the association’s Board of Directors, Christopher French, President and CEO, Shenandoah Telecommunications Company (Shentel) and Tony Thomas, President and CEO, Windstream.

 

French has served as President and CEO of Shentel since 1988, and has been a member and Chairman of the Board of Directors since 1996. Prior to his appointment as president, French held a variety of positions with the company. Shentel is a leading provider of voice, video and data communications for products and services provided by wireline, wireless and cable for consumers in the southeastern United States. The company is headquartered in Edinburg, Va.

 

Thomas has served as President and CEO of Windstream for the past three years and has held a variety of finance and operations leadership roles in the telecommunications industry for more than 20 years. Windstream provides advanced network communications and technology solutions for businesses across the U.S. and broadband, entertainment and security services for consumers and small businesses primarily in rural areas in 17 states. The company is headquartered in Little Rock, Ark.
