USTelecom Announces International Communications CISO Council (ICCC)

New venue for collaboration among Chief Information Security Officers representing global ISPs

Tel Aviv, Israel – USTelecom | The Broadband Association, today announced the launch of the International Communications CISO Council (ICCC), a venue for global network CISOs to collaborate on cyber security issues of mutual interest, share best practices and situational awareness, and coordinate efforts when global events impact the broader ISP community.

“Given the global security threats network operators face each day, we must all find meaningful ways to bolster our collective defenses and the ICCC is an important step to ensure when consequential attacks are levied, we will all be in a better position to defend our economies, our common values and the lives of our citizens,” said USTelecom President and CEO Jonathan Spalter in a plenary address at the 12th Annual International Cybersecurity Conference at Tel Aviv University in Israel.

The newly formed ICCC brings together Chief Information Security Officers representing global ISPs to address some of the most challenging threats to our borderless digital ecosystem and to accelerate opportunities to drive solutions.

Founding ICCC members include AT&T, Bezeq International, Lumen, NTT, Telstra and Verizon.
