USTelecom Elevates B. Lynn Follansbee to Vice President – Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships

WASHINGTON, DC – USTelecom | The Broadband Association today announced the promotion of B. Lynn Follansbee to Vice President – Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships.

Follansbee is a seven-year veteran of the association, who has helped lead the group’s policy advocacy around universal service and rural broadband deployment. In her new, role, she will lead USTelecom’s state and partner outreach, in addition to engaging on high-priority policy objectives. She will also play a key role the association’s advocacy as nearly $65 billion in federal infrastructure funds make their way to the states to help accelerate broadband deployment throughout the U.S.

“For the nation to succeed in fully and finally connecting the nation, America’s broadband providers must be essential partners to this historic effort,” said USTelecom President and CEO Jonathan Spalter. “Lynn understands first-hand the deep commitment and experience our members have in connecting communities to the power of broadband. In her new role she will work with partners across the country to ensure resources flow into the experienced hands that are qualified, capable and committed to finishing the job of universal connectivity.”

Prior to joining USTelecom, Follansbee was an attorney at the Federal Communications Commission, serving in both the Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau and the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau.

Follansbee graduated from Boston College and The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law.
